EU Code of Conduct

Culbert Mediation adhere to and ensure that all mediation services comply with the EU Code of Conduct for Mediators

We provide professional and confidential mediation services wherever disputes or conflicts arise.  All too often disputes become a drain on resources, energy, finance and patience.  Traditional methods of resolving disputes tend to involve adversarial processes, usually leading to court action.  Once a matter is dealt with in court, there is usually a winner and a loser, and much money has been spent by both parties.

Mediation is about attempting to resolve disputes in a way that reduces costs substantially and avoids the highly confrontational and difficult steps involved in court action.  A successful mediation results in the parties agreeing how to resolve their dispute. Therefore, there are no losers.  Often, the very process of mediation can mean that relations between the parties are more cordial afterwards - an outcome that is seldom possible following court action.

We provide confidential mediation, throughout Ireland, in most of the situations in which disputes can arise. For example:

  • In the workplace (including industrial relations, bullying/harassment, grievances, disciplinary, changing work practices)
  • In commercial dealings such as contract issues, as well as disputes arising from payments due to one party by the other
  • In organisations, especially where voluntary input is important

Culbert Mediation subscribes fully to the European Code of Conduct for Mediators.
